Valrico Plumbing Starts With the Year the House Was Built
Valrico is an unincorporated community of about 37,900 people along SR 60, roughly 14 miles east of Tampa. Its mail comes through ZIP codes 33594 and 33596. The median home went up in 1996, but the spread is wide: about 15 percent of housing units predate 1980, 44 percent were built in the 1980s and 1990s and 41 percent since 2000. Around 79 percent are detached houses, 14 percent are mobile homes, and most lots are small, with a median near a fifth of an acre.

Water, Sewer, Wells and Septic: Who Handles What
Hillsborough County Water Resources supplies most Valrico addresses and takes main breaks at (813) 307-1000. County sewer mains serve the majority of subdivisions here, but larger lots toward Lithia and Dover often run on private wells and septic tanks, and a few older plats show no mapped sewer lines. Your utility bill or the county can say which applies to your lot; we never guess. Septic permits run through the county health department at 813-307-8059.
The handoffs are simple. Wells, pumps and pressure tanks go to a licensed water well contractor, tanks and drainfields go to a registered septic contractor, and sewer excavation goes to an underground utility contractor. Gas piping is outside our work as well. Everything on the house side of those boundaries is ours.
What the Seven Services Cost
Standard repairs run $125 to $350 and bigger ones $350 to $900. A toilet, faucet or sink install is $200 to $450; a bathroom rough-in is $1,800 to $4,500. Hidden-leak detection is $200 to $450, credited to the repair, and a whole-house PEX repipe is $4,500 to $12,000. A tank heater replacement is $1,200 to $2,500 installed and a tankless is $2,200 to $3,500. A single clogged fixture is $125 to $250, hydro jetting $400 to $700, and after-hours dispatch $150 to $250. On anything over about $1,500, compare a second quote. The Valrico FL plumber cost guide explains what moves each number.

Hillsborough County Water Resources, at (813) 307-1000. The county owns the pipe up to the meter and the homeowner owns everything after it, which is the line between its crews and ours. If water is surfacing past the meter, or sewage is inside the house, call 813-733-7188 instead.
Search MyFloridaLicense.com, the state’s license lookup, for the business and then for the individual who qualifies it. The Customer Contact Center at 850-487-1395 can answer questions about what you find. Plumbing is licensed work in Florida, and an unlicensed contractor cannot enforce a contract.
Not on the equipment. Pumps, pressure tanks and well work go to a licensed water well contractor, and tanks and drainfields go to a registered septic contractor. We do the plumbing inside the house, and we test that side so the specialist knows where the problem is not.
Often a range, yes. Describe the problem or text a photo to 813-733-7188 and we will give the likely band from our published prices. A firm written price comes after we see the job, before any work starts, and free estimates stay good for 30 days.
